Job Summary
University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC) a member of the University of Maryland Medical System and located in Towson Maryland has an excellent PRN opportunity available for a Critical Care Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team.
Job Specifics:
- Seeking a hardworking detail-oriented NP/PA to work with a team of Pulmonary and Critical Care Providers.
- Applicants must have the ability to diagnose patients and implement a plan of care for acute and chronic health conditions in the intensive care unit.
- Closed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit
- 16 bed MSICU 6 bed Intermediate Care Unit
- Rotating schedule including weekends holidays nights as required to meet 24/7 patient care needs.
- CMS 5 Star LeapFrog Grade A Hospital
- #1 Community Hospital in Maryland US News and World Report
Qualifications :
Education
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree (Required)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician or Maryland State Board of Nursing (Required)
Experience and Skills
- 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
