REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors degree in Education. Endorsement in theatre preferred.
Experience: One year theatre advisory/director experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Eye-hand mind-eye coordination physical dexterity the ability to bend stoop walk talk and sit. Some lifting up to 30 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Other Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in organization public relations and time management. Ability to perform basic math computations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Assists with the following:
Responsible for maintaining an active dramatics program.
Supervises and advises/directs at practice/rehearsal performances and competitions.
Coordinates schedule for rehearsal and performances with Fine Arts & Activities Director.
Responsible for the selection of plays performed.
Oversees casting of parts.
Coordinates the design planning requisitioning and ordering of set stage prop and costume materials.
Assists the Fine Arts Director with the budgeting and material requisition process.
Maintains issues and inventories materials supplies and equipment.
Responsible for coordinating fundraising activities with Fine Arts & Activities Directors.
Responsible for the promotion of productions and competitions within the school and community.
Operates within District policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
