Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Nursing Practice Specialist for Med/Surg Telemetry Departments will have accountabilities for planning staff development orientation patient/family education quality management and research consultation communication professional relationships and professional development as appropriate.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Advanced Practice Skills in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
- 2 to 3 years experience required in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS);REGISTERED NURSE (RN);ACLS (CT ACLS)
- Working knowledge of several software systems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to read analyze and interpret hospital policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science preferred or required within 2 years of hire.
Experience with Cardiac and Neuro Services preferred.
4 years preferred.
