Our Company is growing and so is the Human Resources Department! We are currently seeking an energetic and talented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist in our Corporate Office located in Chicago IL.
The Human Resources Generalist is a key professional responsible for executing a broad range of HR duties working closely with HR Management to support the employee lifecycle and foster a positive workplace. These duties include but are not limited to record maintenance benefit administration training onboarding policy implementation and employment law compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accurate and timely employee records in all required systems and personnel files. This would include the accurate processing of new hires transfers promotions rate changes disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries whether it be through email or phone call. This includes completing research coordinating investigations and accurately updating system records.
- Communicates timely and efficiently with all levels of employees. This includes responding to requests by individuals ranging from jobsite personnel to Business Group Leaders and Ownership in a professional manner as well as understanding what information can be relayed as to keep within legal requirements regarding Personal Protected Information. These requests can be in regards to pending personnel changes company policies employee benefits employee salary and bonus information etc.
- Generate reports of various topics through HRIS system and analyze HR metrics as needed. May include merging data completing V-Looks etc. to obtain the necessary information.
- Develop HR training material i.e. HIP presentations and HR newsletter articles.
- Assist with employee benefit programs including communication enrollments changes and terminations ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Participates in developing and executing department goals. Makes suggestions as to new processes that could help improve the department and handles any assigned projects that arise from these suggestions as new goals.
- Complete various internal HR Audits as required which may include Form I-9 reviews to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Reviews personnel actions submit for minimum wage requirements and proper completion of I9 E-Verify Federal W-4 and State tax forms (when applicable).
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or 3-5 years of Human Resources work experience
- 1-3 years Workday experience preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to effectively multi-task prioritize and mange demands In a dynamic high-volume environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Solid knowledge of HR principles and current federal and state labor laws.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High Level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Hourly Salary: $27.24 - $40.85
