The Campus and Collegiate Life Services Division is proud to lead a collection of world-class services at the University of Otago all dedicated to enhancing the distinctive Otago experience and supporting the Universitys strong collegiate culture.
UniPrint provides an extensive range of printing solutions including bulk printing and copying (such as examination materials) binding and a variety of other printing services for both the University community and external clients.
The role Te mahi
As General Manager of Uniprint you will lead the Universitys central print and copy service ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital print copy and related services to both internal and external clients. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across all business units oversee financial and administrative performance and drive continuous improvement in a fully digital print environment.
A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships across the University aligning Uniprints services with customer needs and ensuring efficient workflows and service excellence. You will also manage key supplier relationships support the customer service and production teams and champion a culture of innovation quality and client focus.

You will be an experienced and commercially minded leader with the ability to drive high-quality service delivery in a complex environment. Key strengths include:
Proven experience leading a customer focused team.
Proven commercial insight with budgeting and financial management skills.
An understanding of the Tertiary Education Sector and its culture and decision-making processes.
Very strong customer service focus.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholders.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Experience in the printing industry is preferred.

This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours per week) position located in Ōtepoti Dunedin and will commence in January 2026.
The appointment range for this role is $101739 to $110396 Top of Range $119053 per annum.
