We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Health Transformation and Sustainability Team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. This role can be based in any of the following locations: Mexico City or Colombia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Global health Transformation and Sustainability Consultant you will support both global client revenue targets and broader Mercer Marsh Benefits strategy by supporting the initiatives of the research sales and client delivery teams. While much of this work will have a global or regional overview support for country specific issues that may arise in the context of both client and research work.
This role requires a global view a strong desire to learn and depth of experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques and applications in the arena of health research. Employer based or private sector experience is preferred. Given the frequent work across lines of business and working in multiple geographies the role necessitates a resourceful and collaborative workstyle.
Healthcare is dynamic and we would expect the applicant to be engaged and articulate on major global health issues confronting employers. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills are required as well as a track record of project management expertise.
Many of our external partners are world leaders in their field and the applicant should have experience articulating work processes and research protocols with both internal and external stakeholders.
We will count on you to:
- Support and advise on our research strategies with our stakeholders including clients
- Compile and synthesize health and workforce data from claims public health datasets external public health sites MMB data sets etc.
- Assess project requirements and pull together multi-disciplinary teams of local/regional/global subject matter experts to keep projects on time.
- Support presentations for industry seminars and conferences.
- Support the development of white paper blog and other published material.
- Support training of the consulting community
What you need to have:
- An advanced degree preferably in epidemiology or in a related area as well as at least 2 years of experience working in public health climate health population health management and or global health role.
- Experience constructing research in key areas of interest including population health econometrics health system strengthening digital health climate and health and health transformation
- Data management and analysis experience preferred with prior experience using software tools including but not limited to Excel R Tableau ArcGIS SQL Python SPSS SAS and/or STATA.
- Oral and written fluency in English.
- Experience in drafting presentations with pertinent narratives based on published literature
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to coordinate with colleagues clients and vendors in a professional manner through email teleconference and meetings.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and think out of the box.
- Ability to manage and deliver work in a timely fashion.
- Proactive communication and project management with internal and external organizations and related projects.
- Team player creative enthusiastic.
- Comfort or willingness to learn public speaking and presentations.
- Strong influencing skills and teaching background welcome.
- No limitations on travel with appropriate timelines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global partners.
