We are looking for an HR Assistant to join a well-established organisation based just outside Whitby where youll play a key part in keeping day-to-day HR operations running smoothly supporting employees across the business and getting involved in a mix of HR projects and ongoing work.

Some of the HR Assistant responsibilities are:
- Keep employee information accurate and up to date in the HR system.
- Manage sickness absence liaising with managers arranging reviews and carrying out welfare calls where needed.
- Coordinate Safety Critical Medical appointments with Occupational Health and ensure employees attend.
- Support HR projects including leadership programmes HR systems development and employee communications.
- Work closely with the clients HR teams when needed.
- Support recruitment and manage the full onboarding process including Right to Work checks and document preparation.
- Maintain and update the electronic Job Description library.
- Create and coordinate a bi-monthly employee newsletter with input from the HR team and external designers.
- Handle confidential information professionally and maintain strong data security.
- Keep up to date with HR topics and provide day-to-day operational HR support.
- Confidently use Microsoft Office and MS Teams; experience with HRIS (Cascade preferred) would be useful.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have around two years experience in Human Resources.
- Be confident handling a busy and varied workload and comfortable speaking with people across all levels of the business.
- Having a Diploma in HR or Business Administration or a CIPD Level 3 is preferred but not essential if you have proven hands-on experience.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm earning a salary up to 32000 depending on experience.
