Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support tooling reliability and production efficiency in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for building repairing modifying and maintaining tools dies fixtures and equipment to ensure consistent uptime and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Build repair and maintain dies tools jigs and fixtures
- Support tooling setup modification and development for production
- Provide guidance to junior tooling staff and apprentices
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform preventive maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and GD&T specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation of tool repairs changes and development work
- Collaborate with engineering machining and production teams
- Follow all LOTO safety and environmental procedures
- Maintain clean organized work areas
- Support continuous improvement across tooling and production processes
Required Qualifications
- Tool & Die Maker certification or 5 years equivalent experience
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
- Experience operating grinders mills lathes and precision equipment
- Strong troubleshooting ability for dies and cutting tools
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written & verbal)
- Experience with end forming crimping or bending is a plus
