Job Description
EduTalent Group are supporting an established grammar school in West Kent to appoint an experienced and outstanding SENCO to lead their SEND Department. This is a unique opportunity to oversee and develop SEND provision across multiple campuses working with highly able students in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key responsibilities:
Act as the operational lead for SEND across the school.
Coordinate the day-to-day management of SEND policy and individual provision for students with SEN or disabilities.
Provide professional guidance to teaching staff collaborating closely with colleagues parents and external agencies.
Ensure high-quality teaching standards and effective use of resources to achieve positive student outcomes.
Support the development of SEND Hubs on both campuses offering sensory spaces for students to self-regulate in a calm environment.
Requirements
Qualified teacher with National Award for SEND Coordination.
Ability to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher as outlined in the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document.
Experience in leading SEND provision and supporting students with SEN or disabilities.
Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to guide staff and liaise with parents and external agencies.
