EduTalent Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Network Support Technician to join a well-respected IT department at a forward-thinking secondary school in West Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy IT team that empowers staff and students through technology supporting both administrative and learning outcomes across multiple campuses.
As the Senior Network Support Technician you will work closely with the Network Manager to maintain and develop IT infrastructure systems software and hardware. You will provide high-quality support to staff and students ensuring technology is effectively used to enhance teaching learning and school operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain troubleshoot and upgrade hardware software and network systems across school campuses.
Support staff and students with IT issues providing clear guidance and solutions.
Work alongside the Network Manager to manage the schools IT infrastructure.
Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security protocols and policies.
Support projects to improve technology systems and digital learning resources.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets incidents and maintenance work.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of IT training sessions for staff.
Participate in whole-school IT initiatives and strategic planning.
Travel between campuses as required to provide support across all sites.
Requirements
Essential:
Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in IT or relevant technical qualification.
Proven experience in an IT environment supporting software hardware and networks.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
Experience supporting multi-site IT operations is desirable.
Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience working in an educational setting.
Knowledge of network security protocols and safeguarding IT systems in schools.
Familiarity with managing classroom technology servers and digital learning platforms.
