We are seeking Software Engineers with 210 years of experience working in DevOps-driven environments to design build and support mission-focused applications. This role supports innovative software solutions for the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense and requires individuals who bring strong technical capability adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
You will join a highly skilled team focused on modernizing and enhancing cloud-based systems that support critical operations.
- Contribute to a small experienced team modernizing cloud architectures for mission-critical environments
- Design develop and deploy scalable applications within containerized environments
- Build manage and optimize containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery
- Develop and enhance ETL pipelines for high-performance data processing
- Configure and maintain message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ
- Create Python scripts to automate infrastructure management and deployment workflows
- Monitor performance and continuously improve system reliability and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for deployment and infrastructure
- Ensure system clarity and maintainability through clean design and concise documentation
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in building deploying and maintaining production-level software systems
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments (Rocky RHEL or similar)
Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or other modern languages such as C C or Java
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes Helm)
Working knowledge of DevSecOps principles and best practices
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar)
Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS GovCloud Azure or GCP
Experience using Git-based version control systems
Excellent problem-solving communication and collaboration skills
CompTIA Security certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Active TS clearance required; TS/SCI preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across multiple programming languages
Familiarity with Python data science libraries such as NumPy pandas and SciPy
Experience building RESTful microservices using frameworks like FastAPI or Spring Boot
Proven ability to refactor legacy systems into containerized or microservices-based architectures
Strong understanding of vertical and horizontal scaling approaches
Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
Hands-on work with RabbitMQ or similar message brokers
Knowledge of database optimization tuning and administration
Experience working within Agile environments and sprint-based workflows (Jira or similar)
Exposure to quality and security scanning tools such as SonarQube NexusIQ and Trivy
Experience deploying maintaining and troubleshooting applications in Kubernetes clusters
Knowledge of secure container registries and container image hardening best practices
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform Ansible and CloudFormation
Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus Grafana and ELK Stack
Demonstrated application of security best practices and compliance standards
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community mission systems
Certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer CKA or CKAD are highly preferred
Required Skills:
Required Qualifications Deep expertise in data structures algorithms design patterns and data layer design. Advanced proficiency in Golang. Strong enthusiasm for developing internal enterprise-scale applications and tools. Proven experience in creating and maintaining robust APIs for both internal and external use. Skilled in integrating third-party and internal services into unified solutions. High competency in modern software engineering practices emphasizing clean testable and maintainable code. Demonstrated ability to design software architectures that meet requirements for functionality scalability performance and maintainability. Degree (Bachelors Masters or PhD) in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related discipline. At least 15 years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field. Active TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Skills Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership. Proficiency with C and Python in Linux environments particularly for engineering and scientific use cases. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like VueJS or React. Experience with enterprise workflow automation. Strong DevOps and cloud computing background (GitLab CI/CD CVE mitigation Docker Kubernetes PIP). Comfortable working with Agile methodologies and providing leadership within those processes.
