What is this career opportunity
Our State Procurement Services Division is looking for an experienced and people-focused manager to lead develop and mentor four contract officers. This team applies their expertise to complex procurement processes in support of all state agencies. Duties of this team include facilitating successful requests for proposals invitations for bid and requests for information procurement processes in accordance with state law and addition this management position collaborates with other procurement leaders within the division to identify strategic sourcing solutions leverage cooperative purchasing opportunities and facilitate IT procurement processes.
This is an exciting time to join the division as the State is in the process of an enterprise-wide effort to centralize the procurement function which will bring efficiencies and an enhanced service model while providing opportunities for procurement professionals to develop their skills and expertise as part of a larger team.

What are we looking for
Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree in business public administration or related field; AND
Demonstrated leadership and managerial ability. OR
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
