Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Software Infrastructure Engineering candidate to be an active participant on the Software Infrastructure development team for our Modernized Infrastructure projects working with cutting edge technologies in products that help to protect our warfighter.

What You Will Do:

• Support infrastructure/DevOps build and automation activities utilizing programming/scripting skills (Ruby Python Go PowerShell and Java) and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in collaborative cross-disciplined integrated product teams often employing agile system and software development operations to plan specify design test and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Develop Modernized Software Infrastructure utilizing DevOps tools such as: Ansible Chef and the Atlassian Tool suite.
• Develop DevOps concepts Containerization and related product development for our programs new modernized Infrastructure systems using tools such as: Docker Rancher Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and senior technical staff in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems and Software Infrastructure Engineers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience in software development utilizing scripting languages such as: Python Perl Ruby Java Bash or Shell.
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ability to apply basic engineering principles theories and concepts.
• Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Any knowledge/experience with Linux Windows or related System Operating systems at the Command Line Interface is preferred.
• Experience using development tools such as: Ansible Chef Docker Rancher Kubernetes GIT Jenkins Jira Confluence or similar.
• Experience with Network design and architecture schemes
• Experience with Cloud Technologies such as: AWS Google Gov
• DevSecOps Toolsets experience either as user or implementor
• Software Development Lifecycle including Agile philosophy
• Experience with Cyber security Concepts is a Plus.

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
