Job Profile Summary

  • Site Security Manager is the manager in charge or supporting the physical security of a Site(s) or country and a key actor in the overall Physical Security organization.

  • Site Security Manager is responsible for the operational protection of the people assets and workplaces assigned.

  • To achieve this Site Security Manager works in close collaboration with the Site Management site industrial leaders all functions on the site and with the local community and authorities.

  • Site Security Manager is internal and external customer centric.

  • Site Security Manager prepares and maintains risk and threat analysis security plans incident/emergency and contingency plans.

  • Site Security Manager manages the security services necessary.

  • He/She is the principal ambassador for Physical Security on the site


Job Description and responsibilities

Site Security Manager is designated as Site Security Officer. He/she reports to the H/O Security India and South Asia Region

Description

  • Define manage and operate site/s security in close collaboration with site/s management and business.

  • Detect and respond to any accidental or intentional hostile act directed to personnel and/or valuable assets (technological heritage facilities and reputation).

  • Secure and protect regulatory controlled areas and items in line with regulations including responsibility for defense and critical infrastructure.

  • Elaborate a physical security plan including systems processes and services providers.

  • Ensure physical regulation compliance based on the requirement inputs from external and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop site security plans reflecting sites business activities and threats protection.

  • Manage business relationships and services provided for physical security.

Main activities

The Security Officer is responsible to implement all appropriate physical security measures in order to comply with Airbus Policy Directives and standards; and with the National law and regulations. Also responsible for asset protection and physical security operations in line with the site security plan.

In order to achieve this the Security Officer shall:

  • Develop and maintain the Security Plan identifying the risks and the environment specific to the site and the means and controls to be put in place to appropriately address these.

  • Check compliance with National law and regulations and adapt the Security procedures accordingly.

  • Assess and manage all Security Risks; monitor them through a Site Security Risk Register.

  • Define Implement and control Site Security Procedures in accordance with the Airbus security policies directives and procedures issued while complying with the national/state/city legal regulatory and contractual obligations (including defence/national secrets act) and with those specific to the site.

  • Supports any infrastructure projects by providing security requirements (both systems and services) reviewing and validating specifications and approving the installations

  • Cascade information and directives from the Company Security Department.

  • Centralise all the security-related actions and events inform the Managing Director and the Regional Head of Security and establish the related operating reports ensure they are assessed and appropriate preventive and corrective actions implemented.

  • Propose and implement innovative solutions for security topics which impact cost quality and timeliness positively

  • Manage internal security workforce and/or security services contractors as well as security equipment to ensure the adequate level of security of the premises and ensure a high level of reliability of site security systems and equipment.

  • Define establish and follow the contract for the security service supplier.

  • Provide support to the Information Management where needed.

  • Plan and manage the operation security budget at site level.

  • Serve as the physical security team representative in Multi Functional Team meetings for infrastructure/any other critical projects manage stakeholder needs and communicate crucial security requirements

  • Collaborate and coordinate with all the different stakeholders such as Facilities HR Communications Finance Procurement IT Business Teams etc. for managing the operational topics

  • Serve as the primary focal point for all Travel Security matters within the assigned region.

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of security measures for major corporate events such as Air Shows and all off-site functions.

  • Lead the network of Emergency Response Team members and organize the required training and briefings for the team with the support of the Health & Safety Team and the supplier. Conduct Building Evacuation mock drills in coordination with the respective stakeholders and ensure the respective compliances related to building evacuation guidelines (Eg. NBC)

  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks related to physical security topics assigned by the Regional Head of Security/ by the Corporate team

  • Deploy at site level the Airbus security awareness messages to employees.

  • Act as focal point for city authorities concerning security matters.

Physical Requirements:

Onsite or remote: 100% ONSITE.

Vision: Daily. able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings.

Hearing: Daily able to hear and participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

Speaking: Daily. able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications.

Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):Daily. able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
