Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all scheduled work including emergency and non-routine is complete.
- Ensure all work is performed according to precision maintenance standards.
- Participate in daily/weekly scheduling process to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with area leadership to manage overtime costs and assignments.
- Participate on weekend duty rotation and other off-hour work assignments.
- Assist with management of contractor assignments in your area of work.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and mentor team members
- Ensure adherence to all environmental health safety and Company policies.
- Ensure all time and attendance procedures are followed.
- Assist department leadership with crew training and performance.
- Ensure adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of maintenance experience in pulp and paper manufacturing.
- Strong maintenance background with demonstrated precision maintenance technical skills.
- Excellent leadership ability; must be able to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
- Good communication skills that facilitate trust-building and task-accomplishment
- Functional use of Microsoft Office products and maintenance systems.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Team-oriented and self-directed can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to withstand working in various temperature and weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes overtime.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Comfortable working in a Union environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee is regularly required to stand walk sit and use hands to handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to both talk and hear.
- The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee will regularly be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
