Purpose:

The PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy Fellowship Program offers a unique and distinctive opportunity to interface with patients healthcare providers health plans and manufacturers to effectively optimize patient outcomes. Completion of this program will result in a highly knowledgeable pharmacist competent in both clinical and business aspects of rare pharmacy management. Our fellows will have opportunities to work in the areas of Business & Pharmacy Operations Quality Improvement & Clinical Education Pharmacy Analytics & Reporting Business Development Strategic Partnerships & Managed Markets.

Responsibilities:

Performs focused evidence-based comprehensive disease and medication therapy management services for patients living with rare disease states.
Interacts with prescribers patients and partners to optimize the unique and complex care of rare patients.
Analyzes develops and implements quality improvement initiatives including pharmacovigilance to further enhance medication safety.
Participates in the development and analysis of clinical initiatives focused on enhancing patient therapeutic outcomes.
Develops skills required for medication pipeline analysis management and market forecasting.
Understands specialty medication supply chain inventory management and the impact on pharmacy operations.
Participates in quarterly business reviews and interfaces with industry partners.
Gains an understanding of accreditation and regulatory standards compliance reporting and auditing.
Develops clinical resources to support professional development of internal colleagues.
Provides clinical and drug information support to healthcare providers and patients.
Coordinates and completes a focused research project and submit a manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal.
Cultivates leadership analytical and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
