We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team!
Location: Jalisco Mexico (Hybrid Position)
Responsibilities:
Design develop and operate scalable services that enable other teams to build efficiently on our clients platform.
Own small to medium features end-to-end from design to deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrations and improve system interoperability.
Apply strong debugging and problem-solving skills to ensure performance and reliability.
Contribute to process and design documentation for ongoing improvements.
Use Java/GraphQL to design API to consume/produce data and build backend applications to power Wayfair advertising platforms.
Use Kafka/Aerospike/Elasticsearch for building a realtime data pipeline as a backbone for the entire Advertising team.
Provide superior monitoring visibility to technical and operational health of the platform using DataDog/Grafana.
Solid understanding of database management (SQL) and software engineering principles.
Participate and manage on-call and production support rotations to support and troubleshoot system issues off-hours and during promotional events.
Provide high quality reviews for both code and technical designs.
Use e-commerce business knowledge to convert the product requirements into a technical solution.
Requisitos
Requirements:
10 years of software engineering experience with strong exposure to backend systems.
Strong fundamentals in algorithms data structures and system design.
Deep experience with Java or similar languages in production.
Solid understanding and experience with database technologies (e.g. SQL) and data processing tools (e.g. Kafka Aerospike Elasticsearch).
Familiarity with cloud-native systems containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
