Job Description

We are looking for a drivenFinance Operations Specialistto become a key member of our growing Finance Operations Team. We are searching for someone who carries a passion to drive operational efficiencies and is constantly looking for ways to improve and accelerate the quote-to-cash cycle.

The Finance Operations team is responsible for assisting with resolutions for items such as non-standard quote reviews bookings contracts and provisioning to ensure all orders meet the company program contract and booking policies and revenue guidelines. The role is predominantly office based with occasional home office possibility.

Focus Areas

• Provide world-class sales support and guidance to direct sales and channel partners on non-standard deals/quotes

• Serve as Finance Operations subject matter expert to various business partners in Finance Sales Professional Services Deals Desk Sales Operations and Business Systems

• Be able to communicate regarding contract information as it relates to order/delivery or invoicing areas.

• Review Contracts addenda and/or SOWs for accuracy and completeness in accordance with company and revenue policies

• Understand all buying programs and the business/contract rules associated to them and be able to apply this understanding to booking of orders

• Assist in projects on process improvements and system optimization

• Conduct training on quoting booking or other related processes

• Respond to daily inquiries related to quotes bookings invoicing or provisioning issues

• Be hands-on with operational activities that achieve tactical and strategic objectives

• Have a strong understanding of the order flow process to know what changes are viable and be able to make changes upholding the Business rules around them and enforce or seek approval to variations to those rules with the appropriate authority

• Partner Management Manage weekly calls and identify the top needs of partners to assist them in effective performance.

Preferred experience & skills

• Bachelors degree in business administration or accounting or related business experience

• ideally experience in a similar role

• Experience with Salesforce SAP or other ERP system is a must

• The ability to read and interpret policies procedures program information contracts etc.

• At least intermediate knowledge of Excel (pivot tables vlookups etc)

• Good understanding of the sales cycle and basic knowledge of software revenue recognition principles including ASC 606 is a plus

• Must be able to work independently adapt and thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.

• Ability to understand priorities and adjust when necessary or when directed

• Team player attitude to assist with quarter-end close activities when its all hands on deck
