Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Design Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru India. As a key member of our engineering department you will lead the design and development of complex highway projects ensuring the highest standards of safety efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive highway design plans including alignment grading drainage and traffic control systems
- Utilize advanced highway design software to create detailed 3D models and construction drawings
- Conduct thorough analysis of traffic patterns environmental impacts and safety considerations to optimize design solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including environmental specialists geotechnical engineers and construction managers
- Ensure compliance with local state and national highway design standards and regulations
- Manage project timelines budgets and resources to deliver high-quality designs on schedule
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team
- Prepare and present technical reports design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders
- Stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in highway design and engineering
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required; Masters degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- 8-10 years of experience in highway design and engineering with a proven track record of successful large-scale infrastructure projects
- Advanced proficiency in highway design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of traffic analysis software and techniques
- In-depth understanding of highway design principles construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong project management abilities including resource allocation and budget control
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal for collaborating with team members and presenting to clients
- Experience with local and national highway design standards and regulations
- Relevant certifications in highway design or transportation engineering are a plus
