THE ROLE

Monitor and optimise daily performance across all areas of the gold processing plant to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct metallurgical accounting and reconciliation for gold production.
Ensure daily weekly and monthly departmental performance reporting is completed within designated timeframes
Achieve production and cost targets by adjusting key operating parameters and implementing process improvements.
Provide technical support and guidance to operations personnel to ensure best practices are followed.
Train and mentor the metallurgical team including plant metallurgists graduates and laboratory personnel to build technical capability and promote continuous improvement.
Oversee on-site laboratory operations.
Carry out designated metallurgical test work and metallurgical duties in a professional manner.
Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of department budgets and forecasts.
Establish and execute short term and long-term projects aimed at improving process plant efficiency.
Monitor the availability and usage of critical process reagents and consumables.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Liaise with Contractors and Stakeholders as required.

WHAT DO I NEED

Current C Class Manual Western Australian drivers licence.
Minimum of 7 years experience within a gold processing plant.
Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy or related discipline.
Current Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26 (required)
Proved Experience in Sag/Ball Mill Operations.
Proficiency with SCADA systems (CITECT) and proprietary PLC systems.
Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desirable)
Strong working knowledge of ore processing with a high degree of practical understanding of processing functions (operational and mechanical)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Word Outlook and Excel)
Proven leadership skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining a proactive and safe working environment.
Strong problem-solving skills adaptability and the ability to think on your feet.
