What awaits you/ Job Profile	Join our dynamic engineering team at BMWTechWorks India where you will play a key role in driving process automation in CAE workflows that support BMWs cutting-edge vehicle development. As a Software Engineer (Expert Level) in the Methods unit you will develop validate and maintain advanced simulation tools and automation pipelines that enhance efficiency and accuracy in mechanical engineering analysis. Collaborate closely with design and test teams to deliver reliable data-driven insights that impact the future of automotive innovation. What should you bring along	A Masters degree in engineering or equivalent qualification. Strong programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB (or similar languages). Solid experience with version control systems especially Git and GitHub including branching commits pull requests and code reviews. Basic understanding of simulation workflows in mechanical engineering specifically fatigue analysis (Abaqus) and multibody dynamics simulations (SIMPACK). Knowledge of software development best practices such as testing documentation version control and CI/CD processes. A proactive mindset attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Must have technical skill	Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB programming for automation and tool development. Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration. Familiarity with Abaqus fatigue workflows (model setup simulation post-processing validation). Basic knowledge of SIMPACK multibody dynamics analyses (model design analysis post-processing interpretation). Ability to write clean well-documented and reusable code.
Good to have Technical skills	Experience in creating technical documentation user guides and training materials. Participation in code reviews software testing and continuous integration workflows. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Prior exposure to automotive or mechanical simulation environments is a plus.
