How do you excel in this position
The Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing managing and monitoring health and safety programs enforcing policies and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA and other legal guidelines. This individual will conduct training sessions monitor compliance investigate accidents and provide recommendations for improvement. The goal is to prevent workplace accidents and promote health and safety awareness and education to all employees.
What are we looking for
- Associate degree in related degree required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in Risk Control Health & Safety specific to field service industries and construction is required.
- Knowledge of Federal and state law is required.
- Must be able to work independently with little direction.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
- Data driven and process orientated.
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.
