Duties and responsibilities:
Meet and greet clients.
Book meetings.
Arrange couriers.
Keep the reception area tidy.
Answer and forward phone calls.
Screen phone calls.
Sort and distribute the post.
Keep inventory of refreshments
Keep stationery stock inventories.
Mann the front desk
Manage deliveries and ensure they are delivered to the persons responsible.
Manage departmental functions - teas lunches etc.
Do administrative tasks including filing photocopying transcribing emailing and faxing.
Assist in leave applications for staff without computers etc.
Participate in departmental activities.
Receive signing deliveries and alert owners of the delivered goods.
Ensure delivered goods have invoices and take invoices for processing by our internal finance.
Responsible for filing and managing documentation for accreditations and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/South African Accreditation system (SANAS) audits.
Inherent requirements:
Grade 12 on NQF Level 4 (attach a copy).
Experience as a receptionist.
Recommendations:
National Diploma on NQF Level 6 in Office administration/ Hospitality management or equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluent in at least three (3) official languages (other than English).
Five (5) years experience as a receptionist.
Experience in the higher education environment.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R231 699.90 R388 426.59 per annum depending on the budget available for the position relevant work experience and qualifications.
