Job Summary

Our client is a leading chemical player seeking a Regional FP&A Director to be responsible for driving the full spectrum of financial planning reporting and performance management activities. You will oversee key regional reporting processes lead the Annual Business Plan and monthly forecasting cycles and partner closely with country and business unit leaders to ensure alignment between operational and financial outcomes. A major focus of the role is to enhance business visibility through robust analysis strengthen planning capabilities across RBUs and support the execution of both short-term performance targets and long-term strategic priorities through strong industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee APAC and global reporting cycles ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

  • Set financial targets for Regional Business Units (RBUs) and coordinate with country teams to secure high-quality inputs for group reporting.

  • Develop planning templates supporting analyses and presentation materials for senior leadership.

  • Work closely with Corporate teams to align on targets and validate data accuracy.

  • Lead the dynamic Monthly Business Review process enhancing reporting formats to reflect evolving internal and external conditions. Provide timely visibility into risks and opportunities along with actions to mitigate gaps and support operating profit growth.

  • Drive the development of the APAC Annual Business Plan partnering with all business units to consolidate assumptions manage activity calendars lead review sessions and align with the APAC President and Head of Finance.

  • Support monthly forecasting with APAC leadership challenging assumptions identifying opportunities and ensuring alignment between operational and financial plans.

  • Contribute to the 5-year strategic plan by coordinating key building blocks including volume growth pricing productivity cost structure OIE and M&A initiatives.

  • Strengthen operational planning capabilities across RBUs and guide the execution of regional transformation initiatives to accelerate performance.

  • Translate the Strategic Plan into actionable components that support delivery of commitments.

  • Benchmark financial and operational KPIs across RBUs to drive performance improvement.

  • Support business case development insourcing efforts into low-cost locations and the implementation of digital tools.

  • Partner with APAC leadership to advance the region’s digital transformation agenda ensuring measurable business benefits.

  • Serve as the APAC P&L Controller for businesses leading financial support and growth initiatives in partnership with regional and RBU leaders.

  • Build trusted advisory relationships with business stakeholders while constructively challenging teams to achieve strategic and financial objectives.

  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset and lead change management initiatives to enhance financial performance.

  • Ensure transparent tracking of volume trends by end market and supply mode supporting execution of growth platforms.

  • Work with RBUs to deliver pricing productivity and fixed-cost targets.

  • Coordinate capital expenditure planning and approvals maintaining 12–24-month visibility to support procurement and cost-optimization decisions.

  • Partner with RBUs to achieve cash flow targets and drive working capital improvements.

  • Develop and deliver finance-related training materials to build capability across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in finance or business partnering roles.

  • Prior experience in multinational publicly listed companies.

  • Strong understanding of industrial gases or the oil & gas/chemical sector

  • Strong leadership abilities and proven team management experience.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights.

  • Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen and cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Effective influencer with the ability to drive organizational change.

  • High resilience self-motivation and the ability to manage resistance while maintaining momentum.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to identify risks opportunities and support execution of mitigation plans.
