Reporting to the Shop supervisor and Quality Director the position is responsible for the safe and efficient
non-destructive inspection of CBBs products while maintaining acceptable levels of production. The Level ll
Technician will be performing calibrations of equipment non-destructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to specifications and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
Knowledge of various NDT techniques such as Magnetic particle testing ultrasonic testing Liquid
penetrant testing and visual testing.
Conduct inspections to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of
inspections.
Establish and or use techniques for acceptable examination of projects under inspection ensuring
strict adherence to safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate
results.
Organize and report test results.
Perform specialized inspections.
When required instruct and supervise junior employees.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Identify and document defects and anomalies in components being inspected.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
Use of overhead crane and or Forklift to setup and move parts.
Participate in Lean Implementation and Lean Initiatives.
Follow CBB established safety practices and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers supervision engineering and quality personnel.
Experience & Knowledge
CBB manufactures complex bearings and associated components in typically difficult to machine materials.
Understanding the tools at hand to maximize the efficiency and quality of inspections and seeks new technology and
opportunities is a significant asset.

Education/Certifications/Licenses
Must hold CGSB Level ll certification for the following UT MT PT and VT
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspection.
