Adjunct Physical Therapy - Neurorehabilitation

Time Type:

Part time

Position Summary and Qualifications:

The adjunct teaching responsibility will include Neurorehabilitation I (4 credit 12 week course) in Summer 2026 and Neurorehabilitation II (5 credit 15 week course) in the fall of 2026. Direct teaching contact is 6-8 hours of combined lecture/lab a week with additional preparation time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach Neurorehabilitation I (4 credits 12-week course) in Summer 2026

  • Teach Neurorehabilitation II (5 credits 15-week course) in the fall of 2026.

  • Direct teaching contact is 6-8 hours of combined lecture/lab a week

  • Additional preparation and grading time

  • Attend orientation to the department conducted by the Department Chairperson or his/her designee

  • Prior to the beginning of the class review the following course material with the Faculty Liaison: course content class schedule grading policy test procedures department remediation policy and student tutoring services course materials from previous offerings of the class and how the class material integrates with the professional curriculum

  • Coordinate responsibilities through Faculty Liaison and if team-taught through Faculty Co-Instructor(s).

  • After the completion of the course the Chairperson will send copies of the student evaluations to the Associated/Adjunct Faculty along with a lette summarizing the results of the Associated/Adjunct Faculty evaluation form completed by the Faculty Liaison.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Licensed physical therapist

  • Earned DPT

  • Clinical specialist certification in neurological physical therapy

  • Academic and/or clinical teaching experience.

  • The candidate must be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
