Job Summary
This role focuses on helping new professional tax preparer clients successfully set up and use the TaxAct software suite.
Responsibilities
Guiding customers through initial setup and software installation.
Assisting with account creation and EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number) documentation uploads.
Supporting data migration from previous software providers.
Providing a positive initial experience to foster long-term customer retention.
Serving as the primary point of contact during the initial post-purchase phase.
Communicating via phone email and web-based tools to provide resources and documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
Coordinating pre-employment paperwork and benefits enrollment.
Managing training schedules for new hires.
Ensuring compliance with company policies.
Fostering a welcoming internal environment and smooth start for new employees.
Must Have
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to guide users through software installation setup and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience assisting with account creation and documentation uploads (e.g. EFIN or similar regulated documentation).
Familiarity with data migration processesimporting/exporting data from previous systems or software.
Excellent communication skills (phone email and web tools) with a strong customer-first mindset.
Strong organizational and coordination skills especially for handling multiple customers.
Ability to manage pre-employment or onboarding paperwork training schedules or similar administrative workflows.
Knowledge of compliance requirements within regulated industries (taxation finance or similar).
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and provide clear step-by-step guidance to customers.
