Gahan House Riverside

As General Manager You Will
The General Manager oversees all aspects of restaurantoperations including front of house and back of house. The General Manager leadsand collaborates with the entire team and fosters a culture that is safeinclusive and fun! The General Manageris laser focused on ensuring the guests have a memorable experience that onlyGahan House can provide.
The Duties
- Executethe financial marketing and human resource strategies that ensure thesuccessful operation of the restaurant
- Accountablefor restaurant financials (e.g. labour costs cost of goods sold and costingteam schedules)
- Communicatethe Gahan House vision to all team members reinforce MHG core values and leadby example
- Workwith HR team to execute hiring strategy ensuring restaurant is staffed appropriately
- Overseetraining plans ensuring all staff have the required knowledge and skill toperform their roles and that MHGs standards and operating procedures are met
- Leadmentor and positively coach employees to achieve their career goals and restaurantgoals and objectives
- Workwith the Assistant General Manager to plan and execute private events and reservations
- Promoteand market the restaurant - get involved in the community! (e.g. attend off-site events volunteerevents community events and fundraisers etc.)
- Provideleadership and a passion for excellence regarding food beverage and menudevelopment
- Buildand maintain authentic relationships with guests and team members; handle highlevel requests and complaints as required
- Provideconflict resolution and problem-solving techniques as required
- Jumpin to assist the team on the floor in any front of house duties as required
- Leadweekly Management meetings communicating all financial operational marketingand HR related strategies
- Communicateand collaborate with all internal MHG functions and departments; work closelywith Head Office on MHG initiatives

What You Bring
- PreviousRestaurant Management experience is required
- Apost-secondary diploma/degree in business or hospitality is considered an asset
