Job Summary

Role: Solr MS SQL DBA - Ecommerce platform

Relevant Experience: Min 7 years

Technical / Functional Skills

Experience with Solr and MS SQL for large-scale applications and eCommerce platforms.

Familiarity with Searchandising concepts and implementing search-related business requirements.

Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins) CI/CD pipelines for SAP Hybris applications.

Familiarity with SAP Backoffice & Impex for product data management and leverage Impex for data import/export processes respectively

Familiarity with HAC & Groovy Scripts for system management and automating tasks troubleshooting issues respectively

Familiarity with Java and Spring frameworks as they relate to SAP Hybris development.

Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana Dynatrace or others for tracking Solr performance metrics.

Certification in Solr MS SQL is a plus.

Knowledge of diagramming tools and methodologies (e.g. Miro Figjam etc)

Educated to Degree level in Computer Science or equivalent

Roles & Responsibilities

Performance Tuning/Search Optimization :

Optimize Solr resources address memory issues and scale for large datasets.

Monitor and optimize SQL queries for performance and regularly tune MS SQL for scalability and resource usage

Manage Solr data indexing optimizing and resolving issues like missing data or indexing failures.

Tune Solr queries for improved performance including managing facets filters and search

relevance.

Maintenance :

Accountable of performing solr and SQL upgrade prior to end of life

Regular backups and restores to ensure data protection and availability

Manage database indexing and optimize queries

Configuration & Integration:

Configure and maintain Solr within SAP Hybris ensuring smooth integration with product data and promotions.

Import/export product data using Impex and manage data synchronization with Hybris.

Availability and Disaster Management :

Develop and test disaster recovery plans

Implement replication or clustering for high availability and recovery.

Collaborate with SAP Hybris to ensuring high availability and optimal load balancing.

Work closely with developers and business teams maintaining documentation for configurations and best practices.

Education

Bachelor/Master
