School-Based OT Practitioner

Location: Varnville SC
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 58 Days 40 Hours/Week
Weekly Pay: $2926

Job Overview

The School-Based OT Practitioner provides therapeutic intervention to students requiring occupational therapy services. This role ensures comprehensive evaluations treatment planning and implementation of programs that enhance student independence.

Primary Functions

Assess skills related to sensory processing cognition motor planning and ADLs.

Design individualized treatment plans and interventions.

Gather relevant history through student/family interviews.

Establish measurable goals to guide therapy.

Document sessions and maintain compliance with school requirements.

Support inventory and supply management.

Maintain confidentiality standards.

Complete administrative duties and schedules.

Promote continuous improvement in therapy services.

Uphold district attendance policies.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

SC OT license in good standing.

OT degree (BS or MS/MA).

Minimum 2 years school/pediatric OT experience.

CPR certification.

Computer literacy and strong documentation skills.

Skills & Abilities

Effective communication with students and adults.

Strong organization and time management.

Ability to handle fast-paced situations.

Professional and dependable work habits.

Working Environment

Occasional travel to schools.

Must lift up to 50 lbs.

High expectations for focus accuracy and collaboration.
