Job Summary

PSR GENERALIST I -

The PSR Generalist I provides direct rehabilitative and clinical services to adults with mental health symptoms. They are responsible to create a culture of hope meaning and opportunity engaging members in meaningful activity as prescribed by Clubhouse International Standards for PSR programs. They are responsible for cultivating a workday that is inviting creative and satisfying to members through work that promotes clubhouse culture consistent with International Standards.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. Some college level courses preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in working with adults with serious mental illness.
  • Valid Michigan Drivers license and good driving record.
  • Transportation or automobile accessibility with current auto insurance.
  • Basic understanding of principles of psychosocial rehabilitation.
  • Understanding of Michigan Mental Health Code and Recipient Rights.
  • Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of agency personnel outside customers and community groups.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a treatment and rehabilitation team to facilitate the efficient operation of the program and provision of services.
  • Work with PSR Generalists in a Clubhouse Unit of Operations such as Food Clerical Employment Specialist Transportation or Member Services during work ordered day.
  • Work with treatment team to ensure the fidelity based International Standards for Clubhouse Programs are upheld.
  • Employment Specialist duties require working with members at partner work site PSR Generalist is responsible to fill in at partner work site when member is not present for shift.
  • Understanding of Michigan Mental Health Code and Recipient Rights.
  • Take initiative in identifying work that members need to complete in the Clubhouse.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to ask for direction when needed.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Ability to de-escalate confrontational antagonistic and hostile behavior
  • Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of agency personnel partner service providers Home Operators and community groups.
  • Participate in staff development programs.
  • Fulfill mandatory education requirements of CNS.
  • Work with treatment team to ensure the fidelity based International Standards for Clubhouse Programs are upheld.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Functional/Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist Clubhouse Supervisor and PSR Generalists on special projects as assigned.

Customer Service/Time Management:

  • Support and conduct ones self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
  • Demonstrate competency in Key Dimensions for this classification per attached sheets.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain consumer confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficient in MS Office- Word Excel Power Point Outlook and must be able to navigate an electronic medical record.
  • Will be required to rotate with other staff for evening and Saturday programs and to work designated holidays.
  • May provide transportation services to members.

  • Demonstrate competency in Key Dimensions for this classification per attached sheets.
  • Support and conduct ones self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal State and Local laws and regulations the Corporate Compliance Program Code of Ethics as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest ethical and professional behavior.
  • Lead or participate in at least one process improvement initiative (task force committee team etc.) each evaluation period.
