In this role you will:

• Monitor and supportIoT cloud connectivityof Evolv products.

• Designandbuild secure remote access mechanisms.

• Definefirewall/routing managementforaccess pointswithin Evolv products.

• InteractwithIoT telecommunication service providersandhardware vendors when needed for design or troubleshooting.

• Detect and help mitigate dataoverages.

• Develop solutions to improve performance inlocationsthat may be subject topoor LTEsignalcoverageorWi-Fi network congestion.

• Recommend and qualifysoftware/firmware/configurationupdates forrouters handlingIoT and Wi-Fi connectivity.

• Developoptimized configurationandfirewallsettings.

• Coordinate with other Evolv teams to develop rollout plans.

• Troubleshootday-to-day IoT connectivityproblems to root cause in LTE portalAWSdevicehardware software or some combination thereof.

• Collaborate with Customers and Evolvteams onsolutions forlocations or applicationsthat mayhave uniquenetworkchallenges.

• Identifyperformance trendsto providecontinuous improvementfor the Evolv fleet of products andgrowingcustomerbase.
  

Success in the Role: What key outcomes and milestones will you be expected to achieve in your first year

In the first30 days you will:

• Become an integral team member and get up to speed onwhoswho in Engineering Tech Support and Field Service

• Learn how Evolv Express andeXpediteproductswork witha focus oncloud and tablet connectivity.

• LearnMyEvolvPortal tools for Field Service support.

• Attend weekly Engineering/Service Activity Review meetings.

• Learn toremotelyconnect to router devices through manufacturermanagement portals.

• Learnto connect toIoT telecommunication service providers management portals.
  

Within 3 months you will:

• Review and document the currentconfigurationstatesacrossmultipleproducts.

• Address intermediate connectivity issues for at least one existing customer.

• Beginidentifyingrisks and opportunities for improvement in current systemsand expanding geographicaland vertical markets.

• Document and prototype secure remote connectivity usingGeneric Routing Encapsulation(GRE)/Internet Protocol Security (IPSec)tunnels.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership toaligngoals and priorities.

By the end of the first year you will:

• Establish a well-defined process forqualifying changes to be implemented in the field and/or manufacturing.

• Lead cross-functional technical initiativesto improve performance cost and customer experience.

• Serve as the technical authority for IoT and Wi-Fi related decisions balancing innovation with maintainability costand performance.

• Deliver measurable improvements in system scalability reliability and modularity.

• Foster a culture of technical excellence mentorship and continuous improvement acrossthe engineeringand supportorganizations.

• Define orcreatetools tofacilitatemonitoring key IoT and Wi-Fi performancemetrics.

The Work: What type of work will you be doingWhat assignments requirements or skills will you be performing on a regular basis

• Understand communication processes between Evolv products and the cloud to improve robustness.

• Strengthen the connectivity between Evolv systems and peripheral tablet devices while simplifying from a user perspective.

• Develop problem solving acumen by using critical thinking log parsing logical reasoning problem solving curiosity anddiagnosticstoolsto unravel technical field issues.

• Communicate effectively with Technical Support Field Service Software Engineers Hardware Engineers as well ascustomers.

• Recognize and exploit opportunities to make the field service issue resolution workflow more efficient and effective by placing tools automation and process where needed.

Thisis an onsiterole basedat Evolv Headquartersin Waltham a member of the Engineeringteamwe expect you to come into the office daily but we understand that things comeup;you can work remotely from time to up to 30% to customer sites.

What is the salary range

The base salary range for this full-time position is$119000- $ addition to base salary this role offers a competitive target bonus equity and a comprehensive benefits package. This range reflects our commitment to pay transparency and equity in alignment with applicable state laws. Our compensation ranges aredeterminedbased on factors such as role level location market benchmarks and internal equity. The posted rangerepresentsthe goodfaith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role across U.S. locations. Actual compensation within the range will be based on the candidates skills experience education and geographic location.
