Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Backup/Data Protection Engineer position!

Responsible for designing implementing and managing backup/storage systems to support enterprise infrastructure. Leads complex projects resolves technical issues and ensures optimal system performance with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage backup recovery and disaster recovery solutions using PPDM Avamar Data Domain DD Boost and DPA reporting tools.

• Perform system upgrades patching and troubleshooting for backup failures replication issues and restore operations across Windows/Linux servers SQL clusters and VMware environments.

• Handle ad hoc and scheduled backups monitor automated jobs and respond to service desk tickets and production issues promptly.

• Lead integration strategy and architecture enhancements develop detailed technical plans and support system migrations and upgrades.

• Work independently on multiple complex projects mentor junior engineers and ensure quality in implementations.

• Document processes share knowledge and stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in backup and storage.

• Conduct requirement analysis proactively generate scalable solutions and maintain deep knowledge of assigned support areas.

• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation manage shifting priorities and maintain a calm professional approach to customer interactions.

• Provide weekly status updates coordinate with teams and take ownership of resolving issues through to completion.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent field of study.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills strong communication and collaboration abilities ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

• Data Domain Cloud Tier

• Data Domain Administration

• Avamar Grid Administration

• Dell PPDM (Power Protect)

• NetApp Cluster-Mode Administration experience

• NetApp Storage Grid

• Experience with various server administration including UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows

• UNIX Shell and/or PowerShell scripting experience

• Working knowledge with Service NOW is a plus

• Knowledge of data center networking infrastructure

• Knowledge of working in public cloud environment

• Knowledge of Terraform

• Knowledge of FSxN

• Extensive knowledge of NFS CIFS and iSCSI protocols

• Experience working with ESXi

• Experience working with PPDM/Avamar/Data Domain
