Position Summary:

The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and sanitary environment throughout the school premises. This includes classrooms hallways restrooms offices and common areas. The role ensures that students staff and visitors experience a well-maintained facility that supports learning and safety.

Pay: $20.00 an hour

Shift: Night Shift 6pm - 2:30pm Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Cleaning Duties:

Sweep mop vacuum and dust classrooms hallways and offices.
Clean and sanitize restrooms replenish supplies and empty trash receptacles.
Maintain cleanliness in cafeterias gyms and other common areas.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Report any maintenance issues safety hazards or repairs needed.

Event & Seasonal Support:

Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.
Perform deep cleaning during school breaks and summer months.

Equipment & Supplies:

Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning tools and machines.
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques safety procedures and basic maintenance.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
