16.25 hours per week (8:45am 12:00pm every morning)
38 weeks per year (term time only)
Start Date: January 2026 or as soon as possible. 12 month contract initially.
Weaver Primary School is looking to appoint a caring enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support children in Key Stage 1 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
About the Role:
- Supporting pupils in KS1 with SEND on a one-to-one and small group basis.
- Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support and strategies.
- Helping children to access learning develop independence and build confidence.
- Promoting positive relationships and supporting childrens social and emotional development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of supporting children with SEND (desirable).
- Is patient resilient and adaptable to childrens individual needs.
- Can work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff and families.
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent).
