The Marketing and Communications Associate serves as primary supportfor the Marketing and Communications department. This position is the point of contactfor website maintenance email marketing logistics and maintaining and updating graphic design files for print materials event promotion and other external communications. This role provides digital marketing support facilitates scheduling and execution of email campaigns and provides analytics reporting to the Director of Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing and Communications

  • Coordinate building reviewing final approval and sending of mass emails such as a weekly parent newsletter (ND News) as well as communications from the Advancement office and other departments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Advancement office to generate mailing lists for printed publications such as the Annual Report and semi-annual news magazine (Notre Notes) as well as recurring and ad hoc digital communications.
  • Develop and manage an archive to document both print and digital communications content and determine best practices for updating and maintaining this archive year over year.
  • Populate and/or update text and visual content into branded templates across various print publications promotional materials and digital content.
  • Produce new graphic design templates within the schools brand identity as needed and assist in developing new imagery and promos for campus digital signage.
  • Coordinate implement track and analyze digital marketing strategies using Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Creative Services Manager to manage and interpret website email and social media analytics and use this data to improve engagement and campaign performance across all channels.
  • Support photography and videography at school-sponsored events and activities as needed.

  • Coordinate with the Director of Communications to ensure the website is fully functional and all content is accurate and up to date with particular attention to the home page.
  • Maintain a calendar of cyclical website updates and manage content needed from key stakeholders including but not limited to news articles and calendar events.
  • Collaborate with individual school departments offices and teams to update content on secondary and tertiary website pages including graphics and images.
  • Solicit and post information about school events and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Creative Services Manager to support a cohesive sitewide brand and content strategy.
  • Regularly research industry best practices and make suggestions to improve the functionality navigation and appearance of the website.

Qualifications

Desired Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience with website development tools including CMS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including editing and proofreading
  • Ability to think and work collaboratively and strategically in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven design and branding skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite primarily Photoshop Illustrator InDesign (experience with Canva a plus)
  • Project management (experience with Asana a plus)
  • Experience in SEM/SEO
  • Experience managing communication and/or editorial calendars
  • Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform(s)
  • Understanding and knowledge of web analytics
  • Understanding of good digital hygiene & database hygiene
