The Head of Finance will lead the financial strategy performance and governance of the retail division. This role ensures operational efficiency sustainable growth and compliance across all retail operations. Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Group CFO the Head of Finance provides actionable insights supports decision making and drives data-led financial management to enable long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals for retail operations.
- Lead financial planning budgeting forecasting and performance monitoring.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals new retail projects and expansion plans for ROI and strategic fit.
- Implement cost optimisation pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives across retail channels.
Financial Operations & Governance
- Oversee accounting reporting treasury and compliance for retail units.
- Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to financial and regulatory standards.
- Conduct financial due diligence for partnerships acquisitions or expansion initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to drive efficiency and profitability.
Business Partnering & Analysis
- Provide financial insights to support operational strategic and investment decisions.
- Model financial scenarios for new product launches marketing campaigns and retail expansion.
- Work closely with operational teams to align budgets and track performance against business objectives.
- Lead digital finance transformation including ERP integration automation and analytics.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing finance team across retail divisions.
- Foster a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement.
- Drive collaboration across departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies with operational goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA CPA ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- 12 to 15 years of finance experience with at least 5 years in senior finance leadership.
- Proven experience in retail finance management.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning budgeting FP&A and business partnering.
- Knowledge of retail business models inventory cycles billing and margin management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management leadership and communication skills.
