Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Human Resources Business Partner on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.08 - 32.23 per hour

Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will work closely with senior leaders and management teams to drive and deliver people-focused strategies aligned with directorate and organisational priorities. This role requires a proactive solutions-driven professional who can influence at a strategic level provide expert guidance on complex organisational matters and lead on initiatives that enhance workforce capability engagement and performance.

The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor partnering with key stakeholders to implement workforce planning talent management leadership development and organisational change. The role involves leading people-related projects managing restructuring processes and ensuring compliance with employment legislation policies and best practicewhile maintaining the highest professional standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary interface between aligned Directors and their leadership teams and the People & Organisational Culture function.
  • Build effective influential relationships with senior managers to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead workforce planning activities including succession planning and skills gap analysis.
  • Facilitate organisational restructuring processes from conception to delivery ensuring compliance and transparency throughout.
  • Provide expert advice to senior managers on complex organisational issues including transformation and organisation design.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate CIPD qualification or actively working toward CIPD Level 7 (essential).

Requirements:
  • Significant experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or equivalent strategic HR role.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading workforce planning talent management and organisational change initiatives.
  • Experience managing restructuring processes including consultation with trade unions and handling redundancy/redeployment.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and its application within a complex organisation.
  • Experience advising and influencing senior stakeholders on strategic HR and organisational matters.
