What we are looking for:

• QTS with recent KS2 teaching experience preferably with Year 5 experience
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils
• High expectations for behaviour attainment and personal development
• Strong relationships with pupils families and colleagues
• Collaborative reflective and organised approach with a willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives
• Passion for promoting learning beyond the classroom through creative activities enrichment and community engagement

Key responsibilities:

• Teach a Year 5 class full-time fostering curiosity independence and a love of learning
• Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils including those with SEND
• Track pupil progress effectively and use assessment to inform next steps in learning
• Support and contribute to the wider school curriculum and initiatives including cross-curricular projects and extra-curricular opportunities
• Maintain a positive inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing confidence and resilience
• Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships supporting pupils learning and development
