Wayman Education is seeking a highly motivated and creative Art ECT Teacher to join an Outstanding Secondary School in Watford starting in September on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an Art ECT ready to begin their teaching career within an established well-resourced and forward-thinking Art & Design department. The school welcomes applications from newly qualified ECTs as well as Art graduates currently completing their teacher training.
This role offers an excellent introduction to the profession with access to an experienced and supportive department that places creativity experimentation and student expression at the centre of its curriculum. The successful Art ECT will teach KS3 and KS4 with the option to teach KS5 depending on experience and confidence. You will have the opportunity to contribute to coursework preparation co-create engaging schemes of learning and assist with the curation of student exhibitions and displays throughout the academic year.

Degree related to Art Fine Art Textiles or a closely aligned discipline
QTS or PGCE in Secondary Art & Design (or in progress for ECTs)
Strong practical art skills and ability to model techniques confidently

The salary for this Art ECT Teacher position will be paid in line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) appropriate for ECT level.
