Location: Stratum Clinic. Unit 3 Origin Place Wootton Science Park Besselsleigh Road Abingdon OX13 6FD
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week working shifts between the hours of 7.30am and 8.30pm Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday cover will be required)
Salary: 12.85 per hour (26728 per annum)

As Receptionist you are responsible for supporting the overall Reception function within the Clinic. You will ensure that patients receive a friendly efficient and professional service. You are a crucial part of the team looking after the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will work in conjunction with The Dermatology Partnership Central Bookings and Central Admin Team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Set up clinics check in patients manage appointments (bookings follow-ups cancellations) and ensure clinic rooms are ready.
- Print schedules prescriptions and post letters; handle documentation audit trails and consultant referral/charge sheets accurately.
- Assist with doctors and nurses administrative needs including prescription handling and responding to queries.
- Understand self-funding/insured patient processes take payments/deposits process refunds and liaise with the bookings team.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for all tasks including internal referrals patient documentation and end-of-day responsibilities.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Experience of working in a high level customer face to face customer service environment is essential
- A strong work ethic with a proactive and dependable approach
- Genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and service
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively to the environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable using IT systems and handling administrative tasks
- A friendly welcoming manner with a focus on creating a positive patient experience
