Position : Lead Leasing Coordinator
Working Schedule : 8a-5p EST
Salary Range :$1300-$1500 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidates level of experience and at the discretion of the client)
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Leasing Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a critical progressive role designed for an ambitious individual who is ready to move into a management track. You will serve as the team lead and subject matter expert working directly with affordable housing property owners residents and applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Workflow Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of Leasing Coordinators setting daily priorities providing constructive feedback and ensuring consistent application of best practices.
- Manage complex or escalated inbound and outbound phone communication coordinating follow-ups via email and text for the team.
- Oversee and audit application data entry in property management systems serving as the teams expert on compliance for diverse markets.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying bottlenecks in the application/recertification process and implementing scalable solutions.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions and create comprehensive process documentation to facilitate the rapid and effective onboarding of new team members.
Application & Compliance Oversight:
- Serve as the final reviewer for affordable housing certifications before Manager submission.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of resident/applicant documents (household composition income and assets) using the client proprietary platform to confirm eligibility for affordable housing handling the most complex cases.
- Ensure timely and accurate sending of eligible and ineligible letters to applicants.
- Oversee the teams efforts in contacting applicants to collect updated or missing documents.
- Manage the integrity of applicant information by overseeing updates to housing authority websites.
- Consolidate and analyze user experience feedback from the team to share with product and engineering teams translating operational needs into actionable development insights.
Organizational Development & Strategy:
- Act as a liaison between the Leasing team and Management providing regular performance updates and strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrate a start-up mentality by proactively jumping into high-priority tasks outside the core job description to support organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in leasing customer management with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Growth Mindset / Positive Can-do Attitude with a demonstrable ability to adapt and lead in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional Detail Orientation and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in affordable housing programs
- Proven experience mentoring training or supervising a team.
- Interest in technology and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new software/platforms.
