12/1 start REQUIRED***Local rate is $8 lessReporting to the IR Section Leader the Radiology Staff Nurse will provide quality-nursing care to both in and out patients in the department or radiology including pediatric adult elderly acutely and chronically ill/patients. The Radiology Nurse must be prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that occur during any radiological procedure. The nurse ensures patient privacy dignity and safety.40 hours7:30a-6:00pm4x10sMon-Fri-variability with day off - Holidays required and weekends as neededRotating call: M-F 6p-11p Sat/Sun 7a-11pCertifications:BLS & ACLS requiredMA RN LicenseExperience:3 to 5 years of nursing experienceCritical care experienceJob Functions: with policies and procedures providing optimum patient care utilizing the nursing patient needs and functions as patient the biological psychological sociological and cultural needs of the patient and the family. Assesses and monitors patient condition including vital sign monitoring and recognition of electrocardiogram changes and initiates appropriate nursing documents and assists in the treatment of contrast in emergency radiologists with special procedures and treatments that require professional nursing conscious sedation and monitors patients as need for and administers other medication as continuity of care for the critically ill skill in using special equipment such as monitors infusion pumps 02 equipment ventilators patient status and nursing with patient identification ability to prioritize nursing responsibilities within the health teaching and procedural information to patients and familiesSkills:Has knowledge of all areas of nursing mature judgment initiative and proficiency in nursing able to work without direct professional interest through self-development continuing education and involvement in professional knowledgeable in physical assessment aseptic techniques IV skills and universal customer service be able to read write and communicate in skills to maintain confidential information.
