About the Role
Join GreenStitch where technology meets sustainability. As an SDE Intern you will work alongside senior engineers and designers to build dynamic responsive and scalable web interfaces that help global fashion and textile brands decarbonize their supply chains. This 6-month internship provides hands-on experience and the chance to contribute meaningful features at a fast-growing climate-tech startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Build test and maintain responsive user-friendly interfaces using and modern JavaScript (ES6).
- Implement reusable components and ensure consistent design and performance across the platform.
- Integrate front-end code with backend APIs to deliver seamless data-driven experiences.
- Optimize applications for speed accessibility and scalability.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality features.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers backend developers and QA engineers to ensure an exceptional user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas to improve product quality and maintainability.
Learning & Growth
- Learn best practices in modern web development component architecture and state management.
- Take ownership of small modules or features and increase autonomy over time.
Problem Solving & Documentation
- Debug and troubleshoot UI issues across browsers and devices.
- Document components workflows and processes clearly for future reference.
Qualifications
Must-have
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (final-year students are encouraged to apply).
- Technical skills: strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6) HTML5 and CSS3; familiarity with React Hooks Context API and component lifecycle.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Mindset: passion for sustainability clean code and building elegant user interfaces.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with TypeScript Redux or .
- Exposure to UI frameworks such as Material UI Tailwind CSS or Chakra UI.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Familiarity with testing tools like Jest or React Testing Library.
