Job Summary

Description of Service Opportunity:

The support staff will work after-school during the 2025-2026 school year from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays in the Pearl K. Wise Library located at CRLS.

The s/he will support the librarys programs and services including:

-Maintaining a welcoming and congenial atmosphere conducive to study.
-Performing routine clerical tasks.
-Using automated circulation system to manage circulation.
-Supervising student workers.
-Assisting students and staff in locating materials.
-Assisting students and staff in operating computers and equipment.
-Troubleshooting minor technology and equipment issues.

MinimumRequirements:
-The support staff preferably will have at least two years post-graduate education; Bachelors degree highly desirable.
-S/he will have previous experience in an educational or recreational setting overseeing high school age students.
-S/he will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills critical to succeed in a high-use environment serving a diverse population.
-S/he will have knowledge of personal computers and applications.
-Previous experience working in a library is desirable.

The support staff will work after-school from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. once a week in the CRLS Library.

Length of Contract:

September 1 2025 through June 30 2026

Contract Amount

Not exceed $3827.40

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
