Job Description:

Sr IT manager Fraud Development

Leadership and Strategy

  • Lead multiple development teams (software engineers QA DevOps etc.) toward achieving business and technology goals.

  • Define the technical roadmap in alignment with enterprise strategy and product vision.

  • Drive architecture decisions design reviews and code quality standards.

  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.

2. Project and Delivery Management

  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

  • Ensure timely high-quality delivery of complex projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies.

  • Manage release schedules resource allocation and cross-team dependencies.

  • Track project health mitigate risks and resolve blockers proactively.

3. People and Performance Management

  • Hire mentor and retain top engineering talent.

  • Conduct performance evaluations career planning and skill development initiatives.

  • Build succession plans and promote leadership growth within teams.

  • Encourage diversity collaboration and team engagement.

4. Technical Excellence and Governance

  • Establish engineering standards coding practices and DevSecOps principles.

  • Review technical designs to ensure scalability security and maintainability.

  • Partner with architecture infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

  • Oversee system performance capacity planning and operational resiliency.

  • Lead end to end design and development of Fraud detection platform built on Java spring Boot and microservices architecture

  • Oversee and drive the implementation of event driven systems using Kafka ensuring high throughput fault tolerance and data consistency

  • Drive adoption of cloud native engineering practices across AWS Azure or GCP including containerization (Docker) orchestration(Kubernetes/AKS)

5. Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product owners business leaders and program managers to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Influence product and technology strategy through data-driven insights.

  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations when applicable.

6. Financial and Operational Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for engineering initiatives.

  • Track ROI for technology investments and optimize resource utilization.

  • Ensure cost-effective scaling of infrastructure and tooling.

7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Drive automation CI/CD and cloud adoption to improve delivery velocity.

  • Promote the use of modern frameworks AI/ML or microservices architectures where applicable.

  • Lead post-implementation reviews and establish feedback loops for process optimization.
