Job Summary

Signal 1 is a digital healthcare start-up on a mission to transform hospital care with AI. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us build deploy and scale our healthcare AI solutions across hospitals in North America.

In this role you will:

Design and develop core components of our AI Management System in collaboration with our infrastructure front-end and machine learning teams.
Build robust and scalable backend systems to support the deployment of AI solutions in hospital environments.
Take ownership of rolling out our AI solutions to client hospitals ensuring smooth integration and reliable performance.
Contribute to improving engineering practices deployment automation and system reliability.

Specific Responsibilities:

Lead the technical deployment of Signal 1s AI solutions at hospitals across North America.
Build and maintain deployment automation monitoring and configuration tools to streamline rollouts and ensure system reliability.
Manage service delivery across both Signal 1s cloud infrastructure and client-hosted environments.
Develop and enhance features for the AI Management System to improve usability scalability and performance.
Implement complex data solutions including validation transformation and verification of large and diverse healthcare datasets.
Collaborate with the machine learning team to design and build systems that support ML workflows and follow engineering best practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability security and reliability for hospital clients.

Qualifications:

BS or MS in computer science engineering or a similar discipline
Solid backend development skills and programming experience (Python Java or similar)
Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL SQL Server)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort working independently in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Extensive experience in EMR integration and healthcare systems development
Solid knowledge of healthcare data format and interoperability protocols
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
