Mechanical Integration Design Engineer
Location: St-Bruno
Responsibilities:
Subsystem Integration & Design
- Ensure proper integration of mechanical subsystems by progressively validating and managing allocated volumes.
- Perform 3D and 2D design of make parts including assembly and installation drawings.
- Verify that purchased parts comply with allocated volumes and interface requirements.
- Deliver installation-related documentation and ensure design alignment with engineering standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering supply chain and manufacturing) to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
- Support design reviews integration activities and implementation of feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain traceability and configuration control of design deliverables through PLM tools
Competencies & Skills:
Technical:
- Strong understanding of mechanical subsystem design and integration.
- Having experience in handling Mechanical systems in Carbody Interiors or fitting
- Able to develop concept to detail for various installation
- Proficient in CATIA V5 (or equivalent CAD tool) and PLM systems (e.g. ENOVIA or similar).
- Basic proficiency in English (reading writing and technical discussions).
- Good understanding of manufacturing and installation constraints.
- Strong attention to detail proactive problem-solving skills and teamwork orientation
- Demonstrated experience leading design reviews managing suppliers and delivering complex integration projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Automotive or Industrial Production
- Minimum 6 8 years of experience in mechanical design and subsystem integration (rail or comparable sector preferred).
- Familiarity with design validation processes and installation deliverables
