Job Title:Social Worker - Looked After Children
Location: Walsall
Working structure: Hybrid (3 days office-based / 2 days WFH)
Pay Rate: 33.30 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting passionate and experienced Social Workers to join our clients Looked After Children Team in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the safety stability and well-being of children in care. The position offers a hybrid working model giving you flexibility while maintaining strong team connections.
What will your responsibilities be
- Manage a caseload of children who are in the care of the local authority.
- Develop implement and regularly review care plans tailored to each childs needs.
- Ensure childrens placements (foster care residential care kinship care) are safe stable and supportive.
- Promote the childs health education and emotional wellbeing ensuring access toappropriate services.
- Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
- Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
- Work closely with birth families carers schools health professionals and other agencies.
- Support children through transitions including reunification with family adoption or leaving care.
- Advocate for the childs voice to be heard in all aspects of planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
