Occupational Therapist

Part-Time Temporary (Follows the School Calendar)

Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for a Part-Time (0.8 FTE) Occupational Therapist (OT).

Canmore and Banff National Park are located one hour west of Calgary. Nestled in the scenic Rocky Mountains our school division is surrounded by beautiful lakes world-class parks and recreational areas and an extensive all-season trail system.

Duties to include:

Administering formal and informal assessments;
Consult closely with teachers educational and therapeutic assistants therapists social workers specialists and parents who participate as part of each childs program planning team;
Complete assessment and treatment reports to share with parents and student learning teams;
Support students with sensory physical cognitive and psychosocial needs in Kindergarten through 12;
Consult with multi-disciplinary teams including; Speech-Language Pathologist Behavioral Specialist Psychologist;
Provide universal targeted and specialized interventions and strategies to support all students with increased independence and access to classroom activities;
Provide consultation to support intervention that can be supported at home.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
Ability to be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT); continuing professional development and professional liability as per ACOT guidelines.
Previous pediatric experience working in private and/or school settings is an asset.

Start Date: January 5 2026

End Date: July 2 2027

Hours: Monday-Thursday; follows the school operational calendar

Salary: $74 970 - $87 705 dependent upon experience plus a comprehensive ASEBP benefit package.
